Fuvahmulah is an island in the Maldives with a unique diversity of marine flora and fauna that can surprise even the most experienced divers! In fact, one of the island’s main highlights is that you can meet tiger sharks any time of the year.
There are dozens of dive sites just 10 minutes away from the island, all with hidden secrets and gems waiting to be explored. From whale sharks and oceanic mantas to hammerheads and moray eels, your underwater friends are eager and waiting to meet you!
Bring your lightest and most breathable clothing, as temperatures in Fuvahmulah remain consistently warm throughout the year. The hottest times of the year are from April to June, with highs of around 89.5°F (31.9°C).
However, things underwater are less consistent and seasonal change can impact who you encounter in the ocean. While you can spot certain shark species like tiger, thresher, grey, and white-tip reef sharks all year round, other species have timely migrations. For example, whale sharks and oceanic mantas can be spotted mainly from January to May. Let us know who you want to meet, and we will suggest the best dates.

Let’s meet in Malé
A company representative will meet you at Velana International Airport and take you to the local airport terminal for the Malé-Fuvahmulah flight. The flight is included in the price of the package. We can meet in the city or at your hotel.

Let’s hop on a plane
Our guides will meet you at the Fuvahmulah airport and take you to our dive centre. Here you can enjoy a delicious meal, and we will take care of your equipment and all your other diving needs.

Let’s check in & chill
Afterwards, you will be taken to your chosen hotel for check-in. Flights to the island usually arrive in the evening, so you can take a breather and head off to sleep, dreaming of all the fun you will have the following morning.

Let’s start exploring
We will organise and get everything ready, so focus on nothing but your enjoyment. Our guides will take you to the best local dive sites where you can dive with sharks and meet the other inhabitants of the ocean. We will also hold interesting lectures about marine life.

Let’s relax in paradise
Between your dives, you can relax on the beach, go surfing, visit the local bird sanctuary, ride a catamaran or kayak, or even visit the fish market and see how masterfully they prepare giant tuna.

Let’s escort you back home
At the end of the programme, we will help you pack up all the equipment, take you to the airport, and escort you onto the plane.
